12.00 - SOUNDWAVES MUSIC PROJECT

Soundwaves Music Project is an Exeter based charity all about people of different abilities making music together & enjoying singing & playing.

12.40 - MAJIDA TRIBAL

Majidah Tribal are a colourful dance troupe based in Exeter. Their dance is a fusion of Middle Eastern, North African, Indian & Flamenco inspired steps performed as a free-flowing group improvisation.

13.20 - THE SNAPDRAGON COLLECTIVE

The Snapdragon Connection consists of 4 band members with a passion for 70s rock music playing a mixture of Led Zeppelin covers & their own songs.

14.05 - SISTER

Made up of Tess, Maya, Amelie & Molly; Sister combines elements from all styles of music from folk to jazz to create a soundscape that captures their love of music!

14.55 - WREN MUSIC PROJECT

One of the UK’s most well established community arts organisations. Join them in a regular choir or a folk orchestra or a specialist instrument day or the folk festival or the lanterns project or any of the hundreds of other ways Wren works with people and folk music.

15.30 - NEWTOWN ROOTS BAND

A large acoustic ensemble with musicians of all abilities led by Ali Jones who play folk music with bit of Gypsy jazz from around the world.

16.05 - AMEERA DANCE

Ameera is a belly dance artist who has performed internationally & has won various awards, one of them being the prestigious title of Miss Bellydance UK in 2011. Her popular classes attract students & belly dance teachers from across the South West.

16.45 - JUBLIATION! CHOIR

Jubilation! Choir Totnes is an auditioned choir with a mission to spread infectious joy to all through their energetic & expressive performances!  The group is led by Fran Andre, a singing leader with a passion for helping people connect with their hearts & each other through singing in community.

17.25 - MONTY & CHARLIE

Inspired by the roots of jazz, soul, hip hop & contemporary modern RnB, Monty & Charlie’s energetic style pickpockets from several different genres & styles.

18.15 - MUDAN DANCE BAND

A community from the South West, bringing people from diverse backgrounds together to enjoy the Chinese culture. Sharing their Chinese culture & learning from each other with passion, love & harmony. .

SUNDAY

11.00 - JUST 4 FUNK

Just 4 Funk are an international breakdance crew from Devon who have competed& performed all around the world. Last year saw them travel to Japan, Spain, Poland, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Norway & Germany to name a few! In Devon they are hard at work teaching the next generation of Bboys & Bgirls. Come & watch this showcase of awesome breakin’ (breakdance) skills with some of the crew & students, from ages 6 – 36!

11.30 - CAPOEIRA LIBERTACAO

Capoeira Libertacao (Liberty) is an Exeter-based capoeira group & part of the wider Devon Capoeira Community. Capoeira was created from the start of slavery in Brazil when great oppression necessitated the secretive mixing of mainly African cultures creating the vibrant & artistic dance, fight, game we see today.

12.15 - TURNING TIDES

The Turning Tides Project (TTTP) is a Community Interest Company that aims to make equal access to music, the arts & life a reality for people with ‘learning disability’ or ‘autism’ labels. TTTP takes a Social Model Approach.
A group of artists, teachers, dancers, musicians, facilitators, enablers, & support workers they believe that everyone has the right of equal access to music the arts & life.

13.00 - D'ACCORD FRENCH AND BRETON DANCE

D’Accord is a French & Breton dance & music club which meets monthly to dance French & Breton dances to live music, at St Matthews Hall, Newtown, Exeter. Anyone is welcome. Some of the musicians play traditional French instruments like the hurdy-gurdy, bombard & bagpipes. Please join in with the dances after a demonstration.

13.45 - URBANFLOW STREET DANCE

Urbanflow streetdance is a community, a hive of positive energy. Urban ID dance crew will also be performing.  Age range of 5 up we shall be performing an excerpt of our show Elemental, our dance show about mental health awareness & about how connecting our mind body & soul are so important.

14.15 - BULGARIAN DANCE

Bulgarian Community in Devon comes together to share their traditional dance.

14.55 - INDIAN DANCE SOUTHWEST

India Dance South West specialises in the Classical Indian dance form of Bharatanatyam. This ancient art form is based around Hindu mythology, with its emphasis on physical dance movements as well as expressional dance (storytelling through mime, using hand gestures & facial expression) to create this dynamic art form.

15.40 - FILEX CHOIR, PHILIPPINES COMMUNITY CHOIR

Devon Filipino community performing traditional dances & songs.

16.20 - ILARIA TARTANELLA EXETER

Ilaria La Tarantella Exeter will take you to a journey through the South of Italy with some upbeat Tarantella. We will dance to the folkloric frenzied dance, the Pizzica, which symbol is the Tarantula & to the frenetic rhythm of Tammurriata.

16.50 - TRIKKEBALLAKKE BAND

Trikkeballakke comprises of musicians & dancers from different nationalities, who live in the UK. The variety of the composition of the musicians & performers allows the band to progress in developing a sound & a dance that reflects the living folk traditions of Southern Italy whilst also being influenced by Mediterranean, African & middle eastern modes & rhythms as well as by the Greek & Albanian tradition.
